Mayhugh Earns Silver in Men's 400m T37; Cinnamo Wins Bronze Medal in Men’s Shot Put F46

Continuing to impress in his Paralympic debut, Nick Mayhugh ran the men’s 400m T37 in 50.26 seconds and collected the silver medal at Tokyo Stadium. Mayhugh’s impressive performance trailed only a world-record time of 49.34 from Russia’s Andrei Vdovin. The 25-year-old earned his second Paralympic medal after claiming gold in the men’s 100 T37 in a world record time of 10.95. Mayhugh next competes in the men's 200 T37 on Friday, Sept. 3.


Joshua Cinnamo won the bronze medal with a throw of 15.90 meters in the men's shot put F46 for his first Paralympic medal on Wednesday. Greg Stewart from Canada won gold (16.75) and Nikita Prokhorov from Russia (16.29) took silver to round out the podium. The first-time Paralympian broke the world record at the Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championships (16.80).
