TOKYO - Road racing concluded from Fuji International Speedway with Team USA earning two-top ten finishes on the final day of competition of the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020. Clara Brown (Falmouth, Maine) and Jamie Whitmore (Somerset, California) finished back-to-back in sixth and seventh place, respectively, in the road race WC1-3.

Also closing out his first Games on Friday was Cody Jung (Poway, California). Jung earned a fourth place finish in the time trial and finished 16th in the road race. Both riders will look to build on their performances heading towards the Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
In total, the Para-cycling team earned eight medals throughout the Games, landing on the top of the podium twice with Oksana Masters’ (Louisville, Kentucky) two golds. Shawn Morelli (Saegertown, Pennsylvania) started it all for Team USA with a silver on the track – the first medal of Tokyo 2020 for the Americans.
Aaron Keith’s (Woodinville, Washington) Paralympic debut saw him earn his first medal after taking silver in the road time trial. Alicia Dana (Putney, Vermont) added to her medal collection with two bronze medals by placing third in the road race and team relay. Ryan Pinney (Phoenix, Arizona) and Alfredo de los Santos (Hopewell Junction, New York) joined Dana in the team relay, earning their first Paralympic medals.
Jill Walsh (Syracuse, New York) brought home her third Paralympic medal – a bronze in the road race and also notched a fourth-place finish in the road time trial.
