10-time Paralympic medalist Cheri Madsen claimed a silver medal in the women’s 400-meter T54 reaching the coveted double-digit mark on Thursday night at the Tokyo Stadium. Madsen clocked in at 53.91 and was right on the heels of Switzerland’s Manuela Schaer in first place at 53.59.
The four-time Paralympian competed in the Paralympic Games Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000 before taking a 13-year hiatus and returning to the international stage at Rio 2016. At the Tokyo Games, Madsen medaled in both of her events, claiming bronze in the 100 T54.
