Jessica Long Wins 27th Career Paralympic Medal and Fourth in Tokyo

Jessica Long won silver in the women's 100m breaststroke SB7, touching the wall at 1:34.82 just behind Mariia Pavlova (1:31.44) from Russia on Wednesday at Tokyo Aquatics Centre.


At the Tokyo Games, Long has won a medal in each individual event she has competed in: gold in the 200 individual medley SM8, silver in the 100 breaststroke SB7 and 400 freestyle S8, and bronze in the 100 backstroke S8. Long has the potential to add a remarkable 28th medal to her long list of accolades when she competes in the 100 butterfly S8 on Friday, Sept. 3. 


Long stands as the second-most decorated U.S. Paralympian in history behind swimmer Trischa Zorn and is the most decorated active Paralympian in the world.
