David Abrahams claims the silver medal in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke SB13 (1:04.38) while Germany’s Taliso Engel broke the world record to take gold (1:02.97). After making his Paralympic Games debut, Abrahams will compete for Harvard University’s Division I swimming program this upcoming season.
Colleen Young won bronze clocking in a time of 1:15.69 in the women's 100 breaststroke SB13 following Great Britain’s Rebecca Redfern (1:14.10) and Germany’s first-place finish from Elena Krawzow (1:13.46). Young adds her second medal of the Paralympic Games after securing a silver in the women's 200 individual medley SM13. The three-time Paralympian collected her third career medal.
