U.S. Wheelchair Rugby Team Takes Silver in Finale Against Great Britain

The U.S. Wheelchair Rugby Team earned a silver medal after a hard-fought final to Great Britain who etched out the team 49-54. A battle of the world’s best, Team USA trailed by just one headed into the fourth quarter but couldn’t close the gap.


This is the American’s second silver in a row at

the Paralympic Games after a 59-58 finish against Australia in the Rio 2016 gold medal finale.


Joshua Wheeler led the way for Team USA with 21 tries and 2 points with teammate Chuck Aoki adding 18 tries in the effort.
