BREAKING NEWS: Keith, Masters, Morelli Podium for Team USA Para-Cycling

Nine-time Paralympic medalist Oksana Masters won her fourth career gold medal after a triumphant finish in the women's H4-5 time trial (45:40.05) on Tuesday morning at the Fuji International Speedway. This victory marks Masters first Paralympic medal in Para-cycling as the five-time Paralympian is also a dual-sport athlete aiming to compete in Nordic skiing at the upcoming Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. 


Shawn Morelli won her second medal of the

Tokyo Games with a top finish at 39:33.79 in the women’s C-4 time trial. Morelli outpaced the competition and won by a long shot with Australia’s Emily Petricola coming in second over nine minutes later (39:43.09). The four-time Paralympic medalist and two-time champion Morelli also won silver in the women’s individual pursuit. 


Aaron Keith won silver in the men’s C1 time trial after clocking a time of 24:55.40 that approached the first-place competitor in Russia’s Mikhail Astashov (24:53.37). Keith is making his first Paralympic Games appearance just two months after his 50th birthday. 


Morelli will still compete in the women's C4-5 road race and Keith hits the tarmac in the men's C1-3 road race.
