Roberts, Townsend and Wise Rack up Three More Medals for Team USA

Jaleen Roberts secured her first Paralympic medal after a second-place finish in the women's long jump T37 with a mark of 4.65 in her Paralympic debut. China’s Xiaoyan Wen (5.13) took gold at the Tokyo Stadium. 


Roderick Townsend broke his own world record with an impressive jump of 2.15 meters to claim back-to-back Paralympic championships in the

men's high jump T47. Fellow Team USA athlete Dallas Wise made his mark in his Paralympic debut after tying for a silver medal at 2.06 meters alongside India’s Nishad Kumar.


Townsend broke the Paralympic record at the Rio Games (2.09) and originally set the world record on April 20, 2019, before his record-breaking performance tonight. The two-time Paralympian is next set to compete in the men's long jump T47.
