In her first Paralympic Games, Pagonis won a bronze in the women's 200 individual medley SM11 touching the well at 2:45.61 on Monday night at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre. The 17-year-old collected her second medal of the Tokyo Games after taking gold in the 400m freestyle S11. Pagonis’ finish is even more impressive in comparison to her competitors, as she finished alongside China’s Jia Ma (2:42.14), a new world record, and Liwen Cai (2:42.91).
