Nine different Broncos (9-13, 2-3) scored in the Golden Coast Conference game, led by sophomore Liliana King-Adas' hat trick. King-Adas got in the scoring column for the first time this season, while Keri Clifford, Elle Surber, and Lauren Paxton each contributed two goals against the Eagles (1-15, 0-5).
"It was nice that we got to play a lot of people in that game including our younger players who played really well," said head coach Keith Wilbur. "It's great for them to get the opportunity to play and they showed what they can do out there. There were a lot of opportunities to counter attack and I think they executed really well on those opportunities. It's good for them to get comfortable, create those opportunities, and put them away."
Santa Clara held a 7-0 lead at halftime and stretched that to 12-0 before allowing the first goal by Concordia. Two more goals from Susan Providenza and Annie Eldredge took the Broncos to 14-1 and they left Sullivan Aquatic Center with a win.
Next, the Broncos play at Fresno Pacific on Thursday at 7:30 p.m, then return home to face Pacific on Saturday, April 23 in the regualr-season finale.
