CLAREMONT, CA. – The Pomona-Pitzer Baseball team fell to non-conference opponent Ithaca 10-4 on Monday afternoon at Alumni Field.

Season Impact: With the loss, the Sagehens fall to 8-3 overall this season.

The Sagehens had four players with two hits. Junior Jeremiah Quezada went 2-5 with a RBI, first-year Jack Damelio went 2-4, junior Jeremy Jess went 2-4 and sophomore Kyle Freeman went 2-2 with a RBI.

Much like their last game against the Bombers, the Sagehens jumped out to a one-run lead early on after first-year Kevin Lo singled through the right side to bring in fellow first-year Jack Damelio to take a 1-0 lead.

The Bombers had a big fourth inning after they plated eight runs. The Sagehens had a chance to get out of the inning with just one run surrendered but a throwing error on a third strike extended the inning and allowed seven more runs to cross.

Freeman came in as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the sixth and brought in a run with a RBI single, but Ithaca scored one run in the seventh and eighth to take a 10-2 lead. Pomona-Pitzer added two more runs in the ninth with RBI's from junior Nolan McCafferty and Quezada, but the Sagehens fun to the Bombers 10-4.

Up Next: The Sagehens will next host a double header with non-conference opponent Bowdoin on Thursday, March 14th at 1:00 p.m.
