Card Wins Season Opener

No. 3 Stanford takes all four races against Oregon State

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – In its spring season opener, No. 3 Stanford won all four races at its home course against Oregon State.

The Cardinal varsity eight battled the Beavers for most of the course but snuck away at the end to finish the 2000m race first with a time of 6:31.2 to Oregon State's 6:41.7.

Stanford captured the second varsity eight race, winning 6:44.9 to Oregon State's time of 6:36.6 and its varsity four, completing the course in 7:31.8 to Oregon State's time of 7:43.5.

To finish out the day, the Cardinal's second varsity four defeated the Beavers, 7:52.6 – 8:07.7.

Stanford returns home to host the Pac-12 Invite at Redwood Shores on March 30-31.
