GAME ONE
- The Gators went up 2-0 in the second on Kritsch's RBI double. Lopez drew a walk that loaded the bases and Brady Dorn

bases loaded with one out but hit into a fielder's choice and a flyout.
- Robinson led off the third with a single, advanced to second on a wild pitch, to third on a throwing error, and scored on David Mansell's single through the left side to make it 4-0.
- After the Cougars cut the lead to 4-3 in the fourth, the Gators
answered in the fifth with a Lopez two-out single down the right field
line to push the lead to 5-3.
- Rogers' first homer of the day was a three-run shot in the eighth on a 1-0 pitch.
- In the ninth pinch hitter Kyler Crone
walked and later scored on a wild pitch. Rogers added two more RBIs
with a two-out single to right that scored Dorn and Lopez. The Cougars
got the runs back on a groundout RBI and a Marcus Wilhite single but it
wasn't enough.
- Jordyn Eglite
(1-0) threw 92 pitches in seven innings of work. He scattered eight
hits en route to the win. He faced the minimum through the first three
innings before giving up three runs in the fourth.
- Joshua Romero went two innings, although he surrendered his first two runs of the season. Through six appearances, he sports a 1.46 ERA.
- Cougars started Brandon Bachman (1-1) took the loss. He faced a
dozen batters in just an inning and a third. He walked five and gave up
three runs on three hits. CSUSM turned to four relievers to finish the
game. The bulk of work went to Dylan Wannamaker, who allowed two runs in
five and two thirds innings.
GAME TWO
- The Gators went up 2-0 in the first. Rogers singled home Gonzales
and Robinson scored Lopez on a sacrifice fly. CSUSM got a run back in
the bottom half of the inning on Austin Ott's sacrifice fly.
- With two outs in the second, Gonzales singled and stole second, then Lopez took a 3-0 pitch to right field to make it 4-1.
- The Gators added on in the third. Rogers and Robinson both singled and Ethan Lageson drove them home with a two-out RBI double to center field.
- In the bottom of the fourth, CSUSM scored on a sac fly. That gave
the Gators two outs but the Cougars rallied for four more runs,
punctuated by an Ott three-run homer that cut the lead to 7-6.
- The Cougars tied it and took the lead in the fifth. A leadoff walk to Grant Buck proved costly, although Sebastian Selway
got back-to-back strikeouts. Danny Johnson doubled Buck home to tie it
and scored the go-ahead run on Zach Schuberg's single up the middle.
- The Gators grabbed the momentum right back on Rogers' second homer
of the day, a leadoff homer to right in the sixth that tied the game
8-8. However, CSUSM took the lead right back in the bottom of the sixth
on Andrew Garcia's single down the left field line.
- The Gators tied it and grabbed the lead for good in the seventh.
Kritsch led off with a double and advanced to third on a throwing error.

pair but Gonzales took the first pitch he saw for a single through the
right side. Gonzales stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch,
and scored on another wild pitch.

caught stealing by Hare. The Cougars kept hope alive with a pair of
walks but Dylan Madole got Garcia swinging to end it.

innings. He allowed seven runs, six earned, on eight hits. Ott (1-1)
took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits in two innings of
work.
