Sophomore forward Seyi Adekoya (Seattle, Wash.) of the UCLA men’s
soccer team was named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week
for Sept. 21-27.
Adekoya scored four goals over three games this week for UCLA. His
four goals move his season-total to six, which leads the Pac-12
Conference. Adekoya has scored all six of his goals over the last four
games, including a pair of two-goal performances. On Monday and Friday,
Adekoya scored the first goal for the Bruins, before netting the first
and second goals of the Bruins’ amazing comeback win on Sunday. The
5-foot-11 striker led UCLA to a 2-1 record last week.
This is Adekoya’s first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and his career.
Also nominated: Jordan Anderson, W. Volleyball;
Spencer Farrar, M. Water Polo; Jordan Payton, Football; Arielle
Schechtman, W. Soccer; Bethany Wu, W. Golf.
