Exclusive Musician Spotlight: Angelina (Angie) Green

Miami, Florida - Angelina (Angie) Green is a beautiful, really talented thirteen year old singer, according to her Facebook, Angelina is not only into music, but she also shares a passion for acting, and dancing.

Angie would like to inspire all the kids that are going through hard times in life and help them to overcome obstacles using music like she did, "Music is my medicine, it has helped me through difficult times in my life. I believe all bad things are meant to make us stronger and lead us to good things in life"

Our founder/editor David Mills had the opportunity to interview Angie on her music, education and more. Read her answers to our interview below.

When did you start singing?
-I have been singing for as long as I can remember. Music became more of a focus for me after some hard times in my life, music helped me to deal with the sadness I felt at the moment.

Was it your dream to be a singer?
-I have always been in love with music, I first started playing instruments and then I developed a very strong passion for singing, my dream is to be able to do that for the rest of my life.

Tell us about your style of singing?
-I started singing classical/lyric music and then I fell in love with musical theater. Lately, I'm doing more pop/ballads, I love it  because I'm able to reach people's heart and make them feel touched with the song, and I think that's the best part of singing.

Are there challenges pursuing a singing career and being a normal teenager?
-Yes! Many! Sometimes I have rehearsals and I have to miss parties and sleepovers with my friends but they are always very supportive, most of them also love music and theater like me.

Do your parents and friends support you?
-My biggest supporter is my mom, she's always there for me no matter what and I know I can always count on her. Also my little brother, we all call each other the three musketeers because we always support each other.

Do you write your own songs?
If so, tell us what goes into writing a great song?
-Yes, I write but not everybody knows about it. When I'm writing I try to think about something I can connect to. I know there will be someone who can connect to it too, because that's what makes a song so great, knowing what the song means to, and transmitting  the feeling you have inside to the people.

Where was your first performance, were you excited?
-It was a talent show in the school and I was very excited and after that every single time I perform I get really excited and I have butterflies in my stomach. But AGT was beyond anything I could ever feel. I was so overwhelmed I could barely talk.

How do you prepare your voice for a performance?
-Before a performance I warm up my voice, drink tons of water, and lots of honey with tea.

If I went to one of your concerts, what can fans and I expect?
-I would make sure every single person has an amazing time. I would definitely make it a night to remember. You'll probably laugh, cry and go through many emotions.
One of my biggest wishes is to have a concert one day and invite my favorite artists to share my voice with the world and be an inspiration to many.

Where have you been able to perform?
-I have performed in some pretty cool places but only locally.
I was picked by Phil and Orianne Collins to be an ambassador of the Little Dreams Foundation that is a charity that raise money to help underprivileged kids. I also do shows on my local theater Miami Children's Theater. But AGT was my biggest experience so far, nothing compares to be on that stage with the judges and that audience.

Who inspires you with your singing and songwriting?
-All the things that happened in my life inspired me so much to write and also to feel the songs when I interprete them when I'm singing.

If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be and with who/ why?
I would love to perform on Broadway one day! Also to go on tour with Lady Gaga!! (My idol) And be on a show on broadway with Kristin Chenoweth, Sutton Foster or Sierra Boggess (my musical theater inspirations).

How did it feel to get the golden buzzer on America's Got Talent?
-It feel so unreal and I still can't believe it! Not in my wildest dreams would I ever imagine that something like this could ever happen to me. I'm filled with joy and gratitude to AGT and especially Heidi for giving me her golden buzzer and believing in me. I'm working really hard for the live shows so everybody at AGT who believes in me can feel proud.

What do you hope to accomplish with your singing/songwriting?
I want people to love my music and enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoy singing it. I want to be able to live my life doing what I love the most, which is singing for the rest of my life and I know its hard but I can't see myself doing anything else.

What three words best describe you and your music?
-I would say....genuine, heartfelt and inspiring. My mom says I'm very energetic, compassionate and humble.

Do you have any advice for those wanting to start a career in singing and songwriting?
-My advice will be to never give up on your dreams, it doesn't matter the age or circumstances everything is possible if we believe. Have the courage to pursue whatever it is you want in your life, just believe in yourself, stay focus and work hard to accomplish them!

Do you have any other talents?
-I became very enthusiastic in musical theater I love acting and dancing as well. I hope one day I can be on a Broadway show.

Are you passionate about any charities, if so, why?
-Yes, very passionate, I went through a really tough moment and I know how scary it can be, that's why I love helping others specially families and kids that are going through hard times in life. I always sing in different charity events to help raise money for kids like me.
Also, I know how important music can be in their life's  and I'm passionate about helping people thorough music and being an inspiration.

Is education important to you?
-Very important, education is everything, is our future, the future of the world.

We want to say thank you to Angie Green for answering our interview questions. Can't wait to see where her music takes her.

Best Of 2016: EXCLUSIVE 'Actor Spotlight': Kara Royster Shares About Movie 'Mono'

Twenty two year old, beautiful, Kara Royster is an up and coming actress who has stared in several TV shows, Movies such as Faking It (TV Series), Pretty Little Liars (TV Series), K.C. Undercover (TV Series), 'Mono' (Movie) as Christina Madison and others.

Our founder, editor David Mills had the great opportunity to interview this up and coming actress about her role as Christina Madison in the movie 'Mono' and more. Below is what she had to say.

When did you start acting?
While growing up in West Palm Beach, Florida as a kid, I started going to theater camp and classes and eventually went to BAK middle school of the arts and Dreyfoos High School of the Arts. After my freshman year, I moved to LA to pursue my dream of acting and graduated from LACHSA majoring in theatre.

Was it your dream to be an actress?
It has always been my dream to do this.  When I was about five years old, my sister always practiced her audition monologues to me and as I watched her I realized that is what I wanted to do.

Are there challenges pursuing a acting career and being a normal young lady?
There are definitely some challenges, especially when I was auditioning while in high school. Learning to balance a professional life, a social life and my academics was difficult at times, but the rewards for my dedication always paid off. Even now, I miss certain events with my family and friends, but I so love the work I'm doing that it makes it all worth it. Nothing ever worth having came without sacrifice.

Do you remember your first acting job, tell us about it?
Yes, my first acting job was on a show called Bucket and Skinner on Nickelodeon. It was an amazing experience,  there was an  elephant on set and someone got a jug of chocolate pour on them. It was shot in front of a live studio audience which was a great transition from theatre and just a lot of fun. I still run into the cast and we always reminisce about it.

You play Christina Madison in the movie 'Mono'. Tell us about your character, Are you like her in real life?
Christina Madison is the queen bee of the school. She's the head of the dance team, loves being in the spotlight and keeping the high school status quo in check. I don't think I act like Christina who tends to be a little bit, or a lot a bit, of a mean girl (haha), however I do love her style which is flashy, bold and fierce.

Were the cast members easy to work with?
My castmates are incredible, I couldn't have asked for a better group. Everyone was happy to be there, they were focused on making a great movie and having fun doing it. We had a few night shoots, were we were together from 5pm to 2am, and really bonded from being loopy from lack of sleep.

What do fans have to look forward to seeing in this upcoming movie?
This is a fun film filled with some hilarious characters and a great message. It really shows the difficulties of navigating through high school in this day and age, with bullying, cliques and social media. The fans can look forward to seeing some of their favorite social media stars such as Christian Delgrosso, Eric Ochoa, Brandon Bowen and Jake Paul in a whole new venue. Its a great coming of age high school movie, that everyone will enjoys.

How did the cast get ready for scenes?
We would all hang out together in the makeup room and run lines with each other before heading to set. Also the cast had a great relationship with our director, Jarrett Conaway, he was such a generous and motivating director, who was always available to answer any of our questions or simply to chat.

Do you have any advice for those wanting to start a career in acting?
My advice, as cheesy as it sounds, is to always be yourself. It seems simple, but a lot of people put on a fake attitude to impress and it never works. I talk to my agents, managers and casting as my natural self and let the work speak for itself.

What do you hope your fans can take away from your acting?
I hope the fans can appreciate the characters I develop and can relate to them in some way. I love characters that you love to hate, like Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones, although she is vicious, she is so strong that you have to see what she does next.

It's hard to find free time while busy on projects. When you do, how do you spend it?
I like to spend my free time hanging out with my family, we are all very close. So when I get some time off you'll find me on the couch with my mom, sister and cats watching The Bachelor or maybe some Real Housewives especially O.C. I also love to have some quality time with friends, going out and catching up.

Do your family and friends support you?
I have very supportive friends and family and I couldn't be more thankful for them. My sister is my acting coach, my mom is my momager, and dad is probably my biggest cheerleader, I love that they want to be involved in what I'm doing it makes everything that much better. My friends are the best, they are always by my side through the highs and lows, they are like family to me.

Who inspires you with your acting?
I really admire Elizabeth Banks and aspire to have a diverse career like hers one day. She is just as brilliant performing comedy as she is drama. Has had great success in both film and T.V, I've loved her since she was on my favorite show “Scrubs”. Along with all of that she's even producing movies, which I think makes for a well rounded artist.

What do you hope to accomplish with your acting?
I hope to just be the best that I can be. I want to continue working on amazing projects and bringing these characters to life. I would love to do action movies, I took stage combat in high school and learned a lot on set of K.C Undercover. I would naturally hope to one day be a series regular on a show so I can connect with the audience on a weekly basis.

Is it hard for you to remember your lines? How do you remember them?
Thankfully I don't have a hard time memorizing lines but it came with a lot of practice. I think my memorization skills comes from my theatre training, where you are performing live and there is no second take. I take ever chance I can get to work on that muscle, I read lines with my friends when they have auditions and I'll practice memorizing the role I read.

Do you have any other talents?
I am very passionate about makeup and did it professionally for a little while working on music videos and headshots. I took classes in high school and became the head makeup artist for the theatre department in my senior year. Now I always do my friends and families makeup for different events, I even did my sister and all her bridesmaid's makeup for her wedding.

My first dance experience was with a dance company I was a part of here in Thousand Oaks.  It was with a group of young girls like myself and we were dressed up in ducky outfits:).

How do you prepare yourself for a performance?
Practice, practice, practice...  It is everything to be prepared so by the time I'm on stage I have rehearsed it my mind and body many times over.  Then take a deep breathe and begin the performance.

If I went to one of your dance performances, what can fans and I expect?
If you saw me on stage today my hope is that you see a dancer with a lot of passion, expression, and technically strong.

Where have you been able to dance?
Recently, I was fortunate to dance on stage with my best friend and "Fraternal Twin" - Taylor Hatala - for Janet Jackson a few months ago which was an amazing experience.  Previous to that, I had the opportunity to dance back up for Christina Aguilera and Pitbull, The Voice, X Factor, and television programs - Disney Shake it Up, and Nickelodeon Fresh Beat Band.

Who inspires you with your dancing?
Mentors like Brian Friedman, Tessandra Chavez, Jess Warfield, and Janelle Ginestra & Will Adams are inspiring dancers and choreographers who continue to develop and invest in me.

If you could dance anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
There are several different countries I would love to dance in like Spain, Australia, Italy, and many others.  I love meeting different people and experiencing different cultures when traveling abroad.  I had the chance to dance in London a few years ago and it was an incredible opportunity.

Along the same line, who would you love to dance with?
I would love to dance with Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Justin Timberlake to name just a few...

What do you hope to accomplish with your dancing?
I hope to inspire and motivate dancers to follow their dreams and not listen to what others say or think about them.  If I can make an impact and be a positive role model for others that would be the biggest accomplishment.

What three words best describe you and your dancing?
Technical, fierce, and dynamic.

Do you have any advice for those wanting to start a dancing career?
Do what you love to do, if it is dance then practice and explore all areas of dance.  Ballet is the foundation so spend more time training in that and the rest will follow.

Do you have any other talents?
Outside of dance I spend a lot of time modeling and acting.  I try to balance all three to make sure I continue to improve and develop my craft.

Are you passionate about any charities, if so, why?
JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  My cousin is a diabetic and I want to help find a cure for her and others that are impacted by this disease.

Is education important to you?
I take my academics seriously and still remain in public school today - currently a freshman in high school.  I plan to attend college while pursuing my career as I get older.

From Los Angeles, California area comes a beautiful, talented thirteen year old American actress by the name of Jessica Belkin. Jessica has starred in several movies and TV series over the years. Currently, she stars in 'American Horror Story' as Wren and recently 'Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn' as Madison.

We recently interviewed this busy young actress about her acting career, is education important and how she spends her free time among others. Below is what she had to say.

When did you start acting?
I started acting when I was 5. My career began with musical theater.

Was it your dream to be an actress?
Definitely! Since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to play pretend. Now I do that for my job.

Are there challenges pursuing an acting career?
There is always going to be bumps on the road. But with the support from my family, team and fans, I’ll do my best to reach my goal of becoming a professional actress.

Do you remember your first acting job, tell us about it?
My first job was a commercial for Aflac. I was 5 at the time. I got to wear a pink onesie and play games. It was definitely an experience to never forget.

You play Vampire Girl Wren in the FX series 'American Horror Story' and been in a few episodes of 'Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn'. Tell us about your characters?
Wren has been through a lot in her child hood. Than she was turned to vampire and even murderer but she’s really just a lost girl. This is a drama of a split character.

Obviously Nickelodeon’s 'Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn’ is a completely different genre. Madison is the Regina George of the show. She likes to one-up people. She wants always to look better than anybody else but does not keep fair play rules. Playing Madison is a great fun. I’m a nice person and it’s interesting and challenging being so mean truthfully on the screen.

Are your cast members easy to work with?
All the people, whom I worked with, were so professional and dedicated to their business, it was pleasure and inspiration to be in such team.

What do fans have to look forward to in future episodes of 'American Horror Story'?
Fans can look forward to seeing flashbacks with Wren. They also get to discover who the Ten Commandments killer is and more about the history and background of the hotel and the Countess. You all are welcome to check-in into Hotel Cortez!

How does the cast get ready for scenes?
Everyone has their one unique ways of getting into character and getting ready for the scene. I see a lot of actors listening to a specific style of music. I like to sit down, run my lines and do some breathing techniques until I switched to my character.

Will you be in any future episodes of 'Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn'?
I can’t say if Madison is returning to NRDD yet but hopefully she does. The cast is such a blast!

Do you have any advice for those wanting to start a career in acting?
Bring a piece of yourself in every audition you go in and every role you play; get something to spice up your character, make him/her unique.

What do you hope your fans can take away from your acting?
To be honest, all I ever hope is that they enjoy it. Whatever they take away from my acting is amazing but knowing that someone pays attention to my work is the best feeling in the world.

It's hard to find free time while busy on projects. When you do, how do you spend it?
I love singing and playing instruments. I’ve been singing since I was 6 and playing the piano since I was 5. I play piano, guitar and ukulele. I also like to record videos of myself singing. So, even when I’m off set, I still manage to find myself in front of camera.

Does your family and friends support you?
100% Yes! They have been supporting me since day 1. I’m so thankful for all of them. I’m also so grateful to have such amazing fans, they rock! But my mom and dad have been the biggest supporters ever!

Who inspires you with your acting?
Each member of the casts, I’ve worked with, gave me something. They all are striving toward the same goal. It’s calming to know there are people with the same dream.

What do you hope to accomplish with your acting?
I wish to win all of the possible nominations: Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, AMA, TCA etc. But the biggest goal is to be able to do what I love the most – to be a performer. I wish to make the world laugh and cry, been confused and terrified with my craft.

Is it hard for you to remember your lines? How do you remember them?
First of all I need to understand the role’s character than it’ll be easier to speak on behalf of it. I like to repeat the lines over and over again with different emotions. It helps me to memorize them and to choose the right mood of the scene.

Are you passionate about any charities, if so, why?
I believe in magical power of music and doing my best to bring it to whom that needs it the most. I perform with volunteers’ band in hospitals, convalescence centers, and nursing facilities.

Is education important to you?
Absolutely. I'm very curious. And the world is so wonderful.

Do you have any other talents?
I think my best talent after my profession is my ability to befriend people.

EXCLUSIVE Actor Spotlight: 'Best Friends Whenever" Landry Bender

Fifteen year old Landry Bender is an american actress from Chicago, Illinois, She currently stars as Cyd in the Disney Channel series 'Best Friend Whenever' alongside Lauren Taylor who plays Shelby. Before 'Best Friends Whenever' she stared in The Council of Dads' (2011), 'The Sitter' (2011), and 'Crash & Bernstein' among others.

Our founder/editor David Mills had the chance to interview this fifteen year old actress on different topics. Below is what Landry had to say.

When did you start acting?

I started acting at the age of 5. I played a flower in my community theatre’s production of Peter Pan and the rest is history.

Was it your dream to be an actress?

I honestly don’t remember a time when it wasn’t. Performing has always been something that has come so naturally whether it be in front of my parents or on Disney Channel, it’s something I’ve always loved.

Are there challenges pursuing a acting career?

Absolutely. I feel it’s that way no matter how far along you are.  There’s so much rejection involved and that’s something that even now is so hard for me to get used to.

Do you remember your first acting job, tell us about it?

I remember it very well! I was 9 years old. It was an insurance commercial that shot in the summer on the Warner Brother's lot, it never aired. (laughs)

You play Cyd on the Disney Channel series 'Best Friends Whenever'. Tell us about your character?

Cyd is a super determined, strong, and edgy girl. Along with her best friend Shelby, they have to navigate school, friend drama, and time travel. I absolutely love playing her because she has so many layers and I love getting to see how she reacts to the situations the girls are put through, good and bad.

Are your cast members easy to work with?

No, in the sense that we laugh so much we can hardly get through scenes! But for real, the cast have serious become more like siblings to me. It’s so cool to be able to come to “work” with kids who are all around your age and do the same thing as you on a daily basis.

What do fans have to look forward to in future episodes of 'Best Friends Whenever'?

SO MUCH. I’m actually not quite sure what they’ve released yet but we deal with boy problems, family issues, and trying to fix MAJOR problems all through time travel. I love this show because it’s super relatable to our viewers with the content we have but we put an extra twist on it with the time travel element which I love.

How does the cast get ready for scenes?

We always run lines together which is super helpful and a lot easier once we go out on stage. We really just try and bond as much as possible. As cheesy as it sounds, the more our friendship grows off-screen the more it shines and makes the show that much better on screen which is a super cool thing that we always try to keep in mind.

Do you have any advice for those wanting to start a career in acting?

Go for it. It’s of course a lot more complex than that but find any way you can to simply go for it. Whether it be through local theatre, or commercials, or making sketches with your friends, it’s so important to explore the whole business as much as you possibly can.

What do you hope your fans can take away from your acting?

I hope they fall in love with the characters as much as I do. Even Cyd specifically with the help of our creators I’ve worked so hard on and have tried to perfect her as much as I possibly can. She’s super special to me and I hope as the show grows, she’s becomes super specials to our viewers as well.

It's hard to find free time while busy on projects. When you do, how do you spend it?

This is going to sound SO strange but I have this weird obsession with brunch. I think brunch is the greatest thing ever and whenever I’m off I just want to spend every day at a café eating brunch. (laughs)

Does your family and friends support you?

I will go on record and say I have the best support system in the world. I love my family and friends so much and I couldn’t imagine better people to have around.

Who inspires you with your acting?

SO many people. That kind of goes along with the people I’d love to work with. I aspire to be half of the entertainment people like Neil Patrick Harris/Betty White/Jennifer Lawrence are; them and so many others inspire me to want to get better.

What do you hope to accomplish with your acting?

Like I said in the previous question to keep getting better. It sounds so simple but with every line that comes out of my mouth I want to be getting better and better the more I work, simple as that.

Is it hard for you to remember your lines? How do you remember them?

It honestly depends on what you’re working on. With multi-cam, you’ve already done three days of rehearsal. That being said, everyday the script changes. With single-camera, sometimes things can be more improved depending on the project.

Are you passionate about any charities, if so, why?

So many! As a teenager in this business, I want to take advantage of opportunities I’m given and have the ability to learn as much as I possibly can. I love getting involved with charities that have to do with kids, especially. I feel like I can obviously relate so much to them.

Is education important to you?

More than anything!  I was just at a meeting about college with my parents this week, actually (CRAZY!). But for real, you do meet a lot of young people in this industry that don’t put as much emphasis on education. I’m not putting those down but it is something that has always been important to me and just because acting is something I do full time, I feel that that doesn’t mean I should put less into school. It’s a juggling act at times, but I do my best to make it work.

Do you have any other talents?

It depends on who you ask!! (laughs) I love singing, dancing, writing, and everything and anything to do with fashion. I also want to pursue directing and producing as I get older. Oh! And keep on with my love of breakfast foods.

You can follow Landry on Twitter by clicking here.

We can't wait for future episodes of 'Best Friends Whenever' which airs on Sunday nights at 8:30pm ET/PT. The next new episode will air on November 27th, 2015 entitled "Cyd and Shelby Strike Back", a hour long special.

EXCLUSIVE 'Actor Spotlight': Brady Reiter

Fifteen year old talented actress Brady Reiter from Florida stars as Mindy Minus on the Nickelodeon series '100 Things To Do Before High School' which you can watch on Saturday night's. She stars aside Isabela Moner, Jaheem Toombs, Owen Joyner.

We recently had the chance to interview this fifteen year old actress on her role in '100 Things To Do Before High School and more. Here is what Brady had to say to us.

When did you start acting?
I started modeling when I was four, and started acting when I was five! I loved it right away.

Was it your dream to be an actress?
At the beginning, I didn’t expect much, but once I did my first commercial I loved it, and I knew that’s what I wanted to do!

Are there challenges pursuing a acting career?
There are totally challenges. I had to make a lot of sacrifices, and missed a lot of school and events because I had auditions. It also takes a lot of effort to get started in the business. I started doing commercials and worked my way up to where I am now. You just have to know that it won’t be completely glamorous from the start, and that you have to put work and time into it. If you’re dedicated to it and believe in yourself, that will be a small price to pay!

Do you remember your first acting job, tell us about it?
