COSTA MESA, Calif. -- The #26 Seawolves traveled down to Costa Mesa Wednesday afternoon to take on the Eagles of Concordia (CA). In another close match, the Seawolves won 5-4. With the victory the Seawolves improve to 10-3 while the Eagles fall to 5-7. The Seawolves finished doubles play up 2-1.
Igor Pissarenko/Allan Lock defeated Nikita Katsnelson/Joseph Bray in the doubles two match (8-3). Alec Wong/Max Nudell defeated Man Hon Ko/Yubo Chen in the doubles three match (8-6).
Leading in the match 2-1, the Seawolves needed three single match victories to win the match. Nate Oppenheim defeated Florian Mayer in the singles one match (6-4, 6-0). #37 Sean Alves defeated Daniel Reddmann in the singles two match (6-3, 2-6, 6-3). Max Nudell clinched the match for the Seawolves against Joseph Bray in the singles four match (6-1, 3-6, 6-2).
The Seawolves have two more road matches before they return home. They take on the Moe Hawks of San Diego Christian College Thursday afternoon in El Cajon, CA. First serve will be served at 12:00 pm.
