ABOUT THE SHOW
Disney’s classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress.  If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self.  But time is running out.  If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.  Disney’s Beauty And The Beast offers a great opportunity to bring the entire community together for family theatre at its best!

ABOUT BUENA PARK YOUTH THEATRE
Founded in 1981 by former elementary school teacher Ruth Walp, the Buena Park Youth Theatre was a direct result of the budgetary cutbacks in fine arts education in public schools. Since then, the program has produced fully staged Broadway musicals with over 7000 children and teens having participated over the years. The musicals continue to receive outstanding critical acclaim and attract audiences young and old.

DUI Checkpoint resulted in 4 arrests

Fontana, California - Fontana Police Department arrested an individual for DUI and three individuals on their outstanding warrants while conducting a DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint on Saturday, November 16, 2019. The checkpoint was located on Cherry and Santa Ana, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

In addition, 28 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license and 11 additional citations were issued.

DUI Checkpoints are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests.
Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with DUI can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to be approximately $13,500. This includes fines, fees, DUI classes, license suspension and other expenses not to mention possible jail time.

Fontana Police Department reminds drivers that “DUI Doesn’t Just Mean Booze.” Prescription drugs, particularly those with a driving or operating machinery warning on the label, can impair and result in a DUI. Marijuana can also be impairing, especially in combination with alcohol or other drugs.

Fontana Police Department will be conducting additional DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols throughout the year in our ongoing commitment to take suspected impaired drivers off our streets and highways, ultimately lowering the risk for deaths and injuries.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Sa
