West Hollywood Kicks Off Community Study

Randomly-mailed surveys are out; pop up workshops scheduled
West Hollywood, California - The City of West Hollywood has begun its Community Study process with the mailing of 5,500 surveys to approximately every fourth household in the city. The survey is being mailed in English and Russian, with an option to request a Spanish-language survey. In addition, those households that receive the randomly-mailed survey will have an option to complete it online.
Over the next four weeks, the City will also be hosting several focus groups, and a series of pop up workshops. All West Hollywood community members are invited to participate in one or more element of the Community Study. The Community Study will help update the City’s demographics and will also help determine funding priorities for social services.
“The pop up workshops are designed to generate even more public feedback in our Community Study process,” said Daphne Dennis, Interim Director of the Human Services and Rent Stabilization Department for the City of West Hollywood. “By going out to highly-trafficked areas of the city, we will be able to engage the community in activities that provide them with an opportunity to indicate their preferences and priorities for social services, target populations and funding,” continued Dennis.
ASL interpretation is available at the pop up workshops with 72-hour notice, and there will also be activities for children. All of the pop up workshops will take place in areas that are wheelchair accessible.
