MAINSTAGE WORLD PREMIERE:"Robyn is Happy"

B STREET THEATRE ANNOUNCES MAINSTAGE WORLD PREMIERE
The B Street Theatre, Sacramento’s Resident Professional, New Works Theatre, is pleased to announce its third world premiere of the Mainstage season.
MAINSTAGE:
Robyn is Happy
By: Michael Elyanow
WORLD PREMIERE

The B Street Theatre presents its most outrageous, brazen comedy of the season: Robyn is Happy by Michael Elyanow. Robyn, Hannah, and Trudy have looked out for each other since grade school. But when Robyn and Trudy suddenly make radical, scandalous choices in life and love, they threaten to destroy a once rock-sold friendship and send Hannah over the edge. Political correctness is not the only virtue scrapped in this explosive new comedy.

Emerging playwright Michael Elyanow’s work has enraptured audiences in New York, Los Angeles, and across the country. In addition to his playwrighting and screenwriting career, Elyanow has taught at Emerson College (Boston), Columbia College (Chicago), and Northwestern University while working with outreach programs at the Guthrie Theatre and Hartford Stage Company. Robyn is Happy received developmental workshops at the Hangar Theatre in 2010 and Hartford Stage Company in 2011. B Street is proud to mount the world premiere of Elyanow’s new play as the theatre’s most shocking comedy of the season.

Show contains strong language and adult content.
