UCLA Draws with Utah Valley in Exhibition, 2-2

LOS ANGELES - According to UCLA, The No. 21-ranked UCLA men's soccer team earned a 2-2 draw against Utah Valley in its exhibition opener on Wednesday from Marshall Field at Drake Stadium.

The Bruins jumped out to an early goal advantage in the second minute as Anderson Asiedu recieved a pass from Brian Iloski in front of the goal and slotted it passed the keeper to the right post. UCLA pushed its lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute whenSantiago Herrera was fouled in the box, setting up a penalty shot for Iloski who put his shot in the back of the net.

Utah Valley scored its first goal in the 31st minute on a shot by Alec Felix and then later Joe Barakat scored the equalizer in the 65th minute for the final score of 2-2.

UCLA will be back in action on Sunday, Aug. 20, hosting Santa Ana Winds FC in another exhibition contest. The match will take place at 7 p.m. on Marshall Field at Drake Stadium. Admission is free.
