Research will help inform social services funding priorities
West Hollywood, California - The City of West Hollywood will undertake a Community Study beginning in January that will update the City’s demographics and helps determine funding priorities for the City’s social services needs. The Community Study will also seek community input about issues including public safety, mobility, economic factors and City-resident communication. The Community Study will be conducted by various means, including a mailed survey, focus groups and community forums. The last community-wide study in West Hollywood was conducted in 2006.
The Community Study will launch in January, when approximately every fourth household in West Hollywood will receive a mailed survey. The surveys will be available in English, Spanish and Russian, and will also have the option to be completed online.
Community members will have another opportunity to participate during the Community Study process, which will include focus groups and community pop-up workshops in February, and a large-scale community workshop in March.
