Hollywood Records Signs Disney Star Bella Thorne
A three-time nominee and 2009 winner of a Young Artists Award, Thorne had a recurring role on HBO's hit drama "Big Love" playing Bill Paxton’s free-spirited daughter Tancy (Teenie) Henrickson. Her other television credits include the role of Christian Slater's daughter on NBC's "My Own Worst Enemy," Billy Baldwin's daughter on ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" and Cheryl Hines' daughter on "In The Motherhood." She guest-starred on Disney Channel's Emmy-winning comedy series "Wizards of Waverly Place," "Entourage," "Little Monk," "October Road" and "The O.C."
On the big screen, Thorne starred in the psychological thriller "Forget Me Not" and in the yet to be released coming-of-age story "Raspberry Magic."
She is also the voice of one of the young Ant Kids in "Ant Bully," the video game based on the box-office hit "The Ant Bully."
Thorne has appeared in more than 60 commercials worldwide and was the youngest ever spokesperson for Texas Instruments. She was also featured in hundreds of national and international print advertising campaigns and editorial fashion spreads.
Born October 8, 1997 in Pembroke Pines, Florida, Thorne is the youngest of four siblings, who are all actors. Thorne is an avid supporter of The Nomad Organization which provides education, food and medical supplies to children in Africa; the Humane Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Her interests include dancing, playing soccer, spending time with her family and playing with her two dogs (Cocker Spaniel and wolf-hybrid), six cats and a turtle.

Annual luncheon benefits Civil Engineering students
More than 150 alumni, professionals and engineering community leaders – as well as Sacramento State President Alexander Gonzalez and local dignitaries – are expected to attend. This year’s keynote speaker will be Brian Maroney, Caltrans chief bridge engineer and project manager of the new San Francisco Bay Bridge project.
The cost is $25 per person; the registration deadline is Thursday, April 4. Register for the luncheon by completing a registration form at www.ecs.csus.edu/wcm/ce or by calling (916) 278-6982.
Proceeds from the luncheon help to support the recruitment of promising civil engineering students, undergraduate and graduate student scholarships, faculty research projects, visiting scholars, and laboratory equipment in the program.
Kerri was a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering for nearly 40 years. In 1972, he helped establish the Office of Water Programs, which is recognized as the leading national training program for the operators and managers of water treatment facilities, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and wastewater treatment and reuse facilities.

One of the surest signs of spring is when the North End Shipyard starts hauling out the schooners of the Maine Windjammer Fleet. On Thursday the American Eagle was hauled out for a new coat of paint and it's yearly inspection.
The 92' schooner American Eagle was built in Gloucester, Massachusetts in 1930. For 53 years she was a working member of the famed Gloucester fishing fleet. She is also a National Historic Landmark.
She will spend about a week on the railway at North End Shipyard. The American Eagle is planning it's first trip of the season on May 17th.

Audrina Patridge born May 9, 1985 made her small screen debut in 2005 as the fun and outgoing friend on the cast of the hit MTV series, "The Hills" (2006), a reality show which documents the lives of four young girls trying to make a mark for themselves in the fast pace, energetic city of Los Angeles. "The Hills" (2006) had the highest-rated telecast this year for MTV. It was recently awarded for "Choice TV Reality/ Variety Show" at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards show. The show will begin its fourth season in August 2008. Patridge recently completed production on her first film role, MGM Home Entertainment's Into the Blue 2: The Reef (2009) (V). In the film, Patridge stars opposite Chris Carmack and Laura Vandervoort as "Kelsey", a no-nonsense, beautiful beach babe whose boyfriend caters to her every command. Born the eldest of four children in Downey, California, Audrina has always aspired to become an actress in Hollywood and, as soon as she turned 18, she signed with a small management company in LA. She honed her craft by participating in drama classes and private acting lessons, taking a job at Quixote Studios as she waited for her big break. Living a stone's throw away from the MTV production of "The Hills" (2006), Audrina was spotted sunbathing by the pool and was asked by a producer if she would like to join the cast. She happily accepted her role as the dear friend of Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag in what was sure to be the beginning of her enticing career. Patridge has been a class act since she was a small child. Her grace and charismatic demeanor fuel her ability to light up the camera. Aside from her captivating film presence, Audrina is an accomplished artist and has been active in many activities such as martial arts, cheerleading, kickboxing and especially dance.
