Girl Meets World "Girl Meets Popular" Airs TONIGHT August 8th

Tonight, fans of the Disney Channel series 'Girl Meets World' will be able to watch an all new episode entitled "Girl Meets Popular" at 8:30pm ET/PT. Riley is surprised when she gets invited to a party that doesn't include Maya. However, once she arrives, she soon learns it's a party filled with unpopular classmates.

This series stars Rowan Blanchard as Riley Matthews, Sabrina Carpenter as Maya, Peyton Meyers as Lucas Friar, August Maturo as Auggie Matthews, and Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage reprising the "Cory and Topanga" roles they made famous in ABC's hugely-popular sitcom "Boy Meets World" (1993-2000).

Disney Channel Orders Second Season of “Girl Meets World,” the #1 Series Among Kids and Tweens

Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the comedy series "Girl Meets World." It was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. Since its June premiere, "Girl Meets World" has ranked as television's number one series among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14. To date, it has generated 4.7 million views on the WATCH Disney Channel app for mobile devices. "Girl Meets World" was created by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly and is executive-produced by Jacobs. It stars Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, August Maturo, Peyton Meyer and Corey Fogelmanis. Production resumes in Los Angeles in November.

"The series swiftly became a favorite of kids and their parents, many of whom grew up with 'Boy Meets World,'" Bonnett said. "We're looking forward to watching Riley Matthews and Maya Hart make the world their own, as Cory and Topanga teach them life lessons along the way."

Season one introduces best friends Riley and Maya as they navigate the ups and downs of junior high; episodes include special appearances by several beloved characters from "Boy Meets World," including Mr. Feeney, who guest starred in the series premiere (played by William Daniels) and Minkus (actor Lee Norris) in an episode premiering Friday, August 15.

Last month, Disney Consumer Products debuted the D-Signed Girl Meets World Collection, a line of tween apparel inspired by the sitcom characters Riley and Maya. It is available exclusively at Kohl's stores nationwide and Kohl's.com/dsigned.

New episodes of "Girl Meets World" air FRIDAYS on Disney Channel. The series is a production of It's A Laugh Productions, Inc. and Michael Jacobs Productions and carries a TV-G parental guideline.

Fans of the Disney Channel series 'Girl Meets World' will be able to watch an new episode tonight at 8:30pm ET/PT entitled "Girl Meets the Truth". After Cory teaches a lesson on truth, Riley and Maya struggle with whether or not it was right to lie to Farkle and tell him he's a good actor and if Maya should keep the locket she found, even though it doesn't belong to her.

Tonight, fans of the Disney Channel series 'Girl Meets World' will be able to watch an all new episode at 8:30pm ET/PT entitled "Girl Meets Father". Cory struggles with Riley growing up when he learns she'd rather go to the school dance then participate in their yearly tradition of riding the Coney Island roller coaster. Simultaneously, he is dealing with the outcome of giving Maya an "F,".

"Girl Meets World" Series Premieres Tonight June 27th

Fans of the highly talked about 'Girl Meets World' will be able to watch the series premiere tonight at 9:45pm ET/PT on Disney Channel.
