Daphne Louise Blunt born October 23, 1997 is an American radio personality, teen actress, recording artist, singer-songwriter, reporter and part-time model. She is best known for starring as Kayla in the Radio Disney series My Dream, which is described by The Hollywood Reporter as "a contemporary story on a format reminiscent of the 1940s, before TV was pervasive." However, unlike Depression-era radio series, that typically featured episodes lasting 30 minutes, episodes of Disney's My Dream last just 90 seconds each, described as "bite-size chucks" by Disney executives. The character Kayla is a 14-year-old teenage girl from the Midwest who wants to be rockstar. Listeners follow her in each episode as she pursues her dream while dealing with the usual struggles, responsibilities and emotional ups and downs of an everyday teen.Blunt made her first television appearance at the age of 10 on the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless. She starred in the movie The Things You Lose in the Ocean, which premiered in May 2010 as part of the Dodge College Graduate Thesis Program at Chapman University in Orange, California.
She has appeared on other television series and films including the Nickelodeon game show BrainSurge, Lifetime movie Amish Grace and Disney.com webisode Solution Street. She also starred in the 2009 television pilot My Daddy is the President.
