Beverly Hills, California - Thirteen year old actress Sophie Nelisse looked gorgeous wearing a

Nelisse, a 13-year-old Canadian actress, is said to be terrific as a plucky young German girl who is sent to live with a new family during World World II in The Book Thief, which 20th Century Fox will release Nov. 15. She was previously best known for her co-starring role in Monsieur Lazhar, Canada's best foreign language film Oscar nominee of two years ago.
Sophie Nélisse born March 27, 2000 is a Canadian child actress, best known for her Genie Award-winning performance in Monsieur Lazhar. She also went on to win the Jutra award for her performance as well as earning a Young Artist Award nomination as Best Leading Young Actress in an International Feature Film. She also had roles in the film Ésimésac and in a Quebec sitcom called Les Parents. She will portray Liesel Meminger in the upcoming film version of the best selling novel; The Book Thief, set to release on November 15, 2013. her sister is actress Isabelle Nelisse.
