Gracie Gold: U.S. International Figure Skating Classic Short Program Lead

Salt Lake City, Utah - Eighteen year old Figure Skater Gracie Gold looked great as she competes in the short program during the US International Figure Skating Classic at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex on September 13, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Gold, 18, the U.S. silver medalist, scored a 58.49, good enough for a two-point lead despite losing her landing on a double axel and looking a little off on triple jumps.

She leads over U.S. bronze medalist Agnes Zawadzki, who fell on a planned triple-triple combination at the start of her skate. Zawadzki scored a 56.27 (full results below). The free skate is Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.

Gracie Gold is an American figure skater. She is the 2012 Rostelecom Cup silver medalist, the 2013 U.S. National silver medalist, the 2012 World Junior silver medalist, and the 2012 U.S. Junior national champion.
