Paralympic champion Daniel Romanchuk celebrated a gold medal finish after posting a time of 45.72 in the men's 400m T54 at the Tokyo Stadium. The two-time Paralympian fought down to the wire as he crossed the line just one-hundredths of a second ahead of Athiwat Paeng-Nuea from Thailand (45.73).
Romanchuk placed fourth in the men’s 5000m T54 earlier this week and is set to compete in four more events, including the 100, 800, 1500 and marathon to round out his six total races in Tokyo.
