Santa Cruz: Cedar Street Repaving Brings Lane Closure/Detour April 15 - May 31

The Cedar Street Rehabilitation Project continues Monday, April 15, through Friday, May 31, with one lane closure and detour.

SANTA CRUZ — The City of Santa Cruz continues the Cedar Street Rehabilitation Project Monday, April 15, through Friday, May 31, with one lane closure and detour. The project, funded by Measure H and Measure D tax dollars and a Community Development Block Grant, is rehabilitating/reconstructing Cedar Street from Church Street to Laurel Street.

Traffic control will detour vehicles traveling south and vehicles traveling north may also experience delays. The public is advised to seek alternate routes. Cedar Street on-street parking may also be restricted.

The Cedar Street Rehabilitation Project includes roadway excavation, the installation of hot mix asphalt pavement, Portland cement concrete, ADA compliant curb ramps, roadway striping, and storm drain and sanitary sewer improvements. The project is expected to conclude before summer.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience this construction work may cause and appreciates the public’s cooperation.  Any concerns or questions may be addressed to Project Manager Ricardo Valdés, at (831) 420-5198 or RValdes@cityofsantacruz.com.
