BREAKING NEWS: Shooting In San Bernardino, 14 Dead, 17 Wounded








UPDATE: 5:52pm The following is information from the latest press conference.

Following up on tips led officers to Redlands. A pursuit ensued and gunfire was exchanged between officers and the suspects.

Two suspects confirmed dead. 1 male & 1 female. The vehicle was cleared of any explosive devices.

FBI, ATF, SBPD and #SBCSD are all in unified command in this incident. A third suspect may be outstanding.

The neighborhood b/w Richardson & Mt. View South of SB Ave is no longer sheltering in place. A person of interest has been detained.

UPDATE: 4:18pm Gunfire exchanged w/suspects during follow up invest. 1 suspect is poss. outstanding. AVOID THE AREA of San Bernardino Ave to California St says San Bernardino Sheriff's office. 

UPDATE: 4:07pm The latest is an officer working the #ActiveShooter was struck non life threatening injuries from the San Bernardino.

UPDATE: 3:25 The number of wounded is 17 and the deceased remains 14.

UPDATE: 3:20pm According to dispatch and police that they have a black SUV stopped with shots fired. There is at least one, maybe two down.

The following statement was released by the governor of California.

 Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today issued the following statement regarding the shooting in the City of San Bernardino:

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families and everyone affected by the brutal attack. California will spare no effort in bringing these killers to justice.” 

Out of respect for Californians affected by today’s tragedy, this evening’s annual Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be canceled. Although the ceremony is canceled, the Christmas tree will still be illuminated at 5:00 p.m. 


Capitol flags will be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims and their families.

UPDATE: 2:06pm, Following information has been released during a press conference on the shooting.

"Three people entered the building and began shooting. The preliminary information we have is 14 dead, 14 wounded. The wounded have been taken to area hospitals #SanBernardino. Suspects fled in a dark colored car. Ports and local county and city buildings locked down #SanBernardino #ActiveShooter @SanBernardinoPD. We will work hand and hand with the city of San Bernardino to secure this scene @sheriffmcmahon. The Hernandez Center on Third and Sierra Way has been set up for family members to go for information #SanBernardino. 

All of the information is preliminary and may change throughout the course of the investigation.
We are all on heighten alert #SanBernardino.

UPDATE: 1:48pm According FBI Los Angeles, FBI responding to shooting in San Bernardino w/resources to assist partners.  SB has lead. Will provide add'l info as situation develops.

UPDATE: 12:56pm FAA set up no-fly zone around shooting area; news choppers have been ordered away according to KTLA5.

San Bernardino, California - We are learning that California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Police, Sheriff and ATF Los Angeles Field Division is on scene of a reported shooting that started around 11am at Inland Regional Center.

There is at least 20+ victims.

According San Bernardino Sheriffs Office there maybe between 1 to 3 suspects, Their statement below.

"@SanBernardinoPD has confirmed 1 to 3 possible suspects.Multiple victims. #SBCSD & other agencies assisting. More info to come. #SanBernardino."

San Bernardino County Fire District says; "SBCoFire assisting @SBCityFire in triaging & treating victims of shooting in San Bernardino." They also say; "SBCoFire & local fire depts covering @SBCityFire stations & responding to calls, ensuring San Bernardino has continued fire & ems coverage."

California governor has been briefed & is closely monitoring this disturbing & ongoing situation unfolding in San Bernardino.
