White House Schedule - August 23, 2013

In the afternoon, the President will participate in a town hall event at Binghamton University, the State University of New York. The President will discuss the importance of ensuring that every American has the opportunity to achieve a quality education by reducing cost and improving the value of higher education for middle-class students and their families. 
Later in the afternoon, the President and Vice President will deliver remarks at an event at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The President and Vice President will lay out a plan to make college more affordable, tackle rising costs, and improve value for students and their families. 
In the evening, the President will depart Scranton, Pennsylvania en route Washington, DC.
